We really admire the Skateistan Charity for their work in Kabul. It is empowering to see how they help children in a warzone environment by giving them new hope and opportunities through skateboarding. Through teaching them skateboarding this allows many more possibilities in Afghanistan and Cambodia the two places their projects are currently based; for instance education, community and leadership skills. Through interacting with other children this can also build social capital and trust which is extremely important in these regions. Without Skateistan and their programme this would otherwise not be possible.
